The Gandey Big Bash League (GBBL) cricket tournament was inaugurated on Thursday at the sports ground located in Gandhinagar of Gandey block. On the occasion, Chief Amrit Lal Pathak, former JIP member Arjun Baitha and former BJP District President Yadunandan Pathak jointly inaugurated the tournament by cutting the ribbon as chief guests. After this, the guests shook hands with the players of both the teams who had come to play the inaugural match of the tournament and encouraged them. Batting first in the inaugural match of the tournament, AK XI team scored 121 runs for 6 wickets in the stipulated 10 overs. Shree Sports team came out to play the counter innings in 9.2 overs. This tournament will help in honing the talent of rural level players. Gandey Panchayat head Amrit Lal Pathak and social worker Arjun Baitha also expressed their views to encourage the players. After winning the toss and coming to bat first, AK 11 team scored 121 runs in the stipulated 10 overs. While chasing the target, Shree Collection's team was all out for just 80 runs in 9.2 overs. The organizer said that eight teams have participated in the tournament. The final match of the tournament will be played on 6 December.
