Patna, 29 October. Gaya won the title of Bihar Inter District Boys Under-19 School Cricket Tournament. Gaya beat Nawada by 1 run.
Gaya won the toss and batting first scored 92 runs in 20 overs. M Pandey scored 14, Yashasvi Rai scored 12 and Rahul Kumar Bharti scored 19 runs. For Nawada, Suman Saurabh took 4 wickets for 14 runs, Harsh Raj took 3 wickets for 10 runs and Adarsh Pandey took 1 wicket for 20 runs.
In reply, Nawada team was able to score 91 runs. Suman Saurabh scored 37, Luvkush scored 13 and Adarsh Pandey scored 11 runs.
Gaya's Ayush Kumar took 2 wickets for 8 runs, Rahul Bharti took 2 wickets for 22 runs and Shubh Singh took 1 wicket for 4 runs. The Player of the Match award was given to Rahul Bharti.
The umpires of the match were Ravi Kumar and Sunanya Kumar Verma. Sachin Bharti was the scorer. The players were awarded by Gaya District Sports Officer Naresh Chauhan, selector cum former cricketer Dhananjay Kumar and Shailendra Kumar Dikshti.
