Rohit Sharma 1st Test IND vs AUS: Rohit Sharma is going to miss the first test of Border-Gavaskar Trophy and Jasprit Bumrah will captain him in the Perth Test. Rohit Sharma has recently become a father for the second time and has taken a break to support his family. Now former Indian cricketer Kirti Azad has given a big statement regarding the absence of Rohit Sharma in the first test. Kirti Azad, who was a part of the 1983 World Cup winning team, believes that there is no player who cannot be replaced.
Rohit Sharma had scored only 91 runs in 6 innings against New Zealand. According to TOI, Kirti Azad said about Rohit who is struggling with poor form, “Yes, it is a matter of concern. Rohit Sharma has been the captain of Team India for a very long time. There is no one who cannot be replaced. I would like to say that he is the strongest link of Team India, so we are hoping that he will do well in the upcoming series.
Analysis of Jasprit Bumrah's captaincy
Jasprit Bumrah has so far captained India in only one Test match, in which Team India had to face defeat by 7 wickets at the hands of England. He will now captain the Perth Test against Australia. On captaincy by Bumrah, Kirti Azad said, “I have played with Kapil Dev, who was one of the best all-rounder players in the world. His performance was never affected due to captaincy. It all depends on the circumstances. If If your team is doing well and the changes made by you give good results then you are a good captain. If the changes are not giving you results then you need to improve your captaincy.
