Former England cricket team fast bowler Steven Finn has praised Jasprit Bumrah's performance in the first Test match against Australia. Bumrah, who also captained India in the encounter, took eight wickets and played a major role in ensuring the historic win. The masterclass from the Indian star fast bowler made full use of the conditions and took many important wickets at the time of need. Finn praised him a lot and even said that he is the best player in the world.

Finn praised Bumrah

While reviewing India's performance with former England captain Alastair Cook on TNT Sports, Finn said, 'Jaiswal scored a brilliant 161, but he is the player I like to watch. That is Jasprit Bumrah. I think he really is the best player in the world. Honestly, sometimes I think bowling like him is a joke! You see him bowling and you just think, I'm glad I don't have to come out to bat.

Cook praised Team India

At the same time, Cook admitted that he was surprised by India's dominance against Australia in Perth. Cook said this one Perth has been a place which has historically been a fortress for the hosts. Cook said, 'I was surprised that India went there (Australia) and defeated Australia, which is usually a very difficult place to play cricket. Perth, I know it's not the WACA, I know Optus is a new stadium, but historically Australia haven't lost many matches there. I thought India showed bravery.

Smith also praised Bumrah

Earlier, Australia's leading batsman Steve Smith had said that India's star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah's quirky bowling action and extraordinary skills make him the complete package. Captaining in the absence of regular captain Rohit Sharma, Bumrah took eight wickets in the first Test against Australia and was adjudged 'Player of the Match'.

“Strange action makes them packages”

Smith told 'Sydney Morning Herald', 'His bowling action is strange right from the beginning of his run up. He runs in a different way and the last movement of his action is also strange. I have faced him quite a few times and every time it takes time to settle down at the crease against him. Smith was dismissed by Bumrah in the first innings of the first Test.
