Duckett broke the world record

This is the fourth century of Duckett's Test career. Of these, 3 centuries have come on foreign soil. Not only this, Ben Duckett has scored half-centuries 15 times in test matches. Nine of these times have come at a strike-rate of 100 or better, which is the joint-highest for England with Joe Root (who has also scored half-centuries nine times off 50 balls or less).

During this century innings, Ben Duckett also shattered the world record in Test cricket. He completed his 2000 runs in Test cricket as soon as he scored 88 runs. In Test, he made the world record of completing 2000 runs playing the least number of balls. Earlier this record was in the name of Tim Southee who had completed 2000 runs in Test cricket facing 2418 balls. Now this record is in the name of Duckett. The English batsman made this record on 2293 balls.
