With the brilliant partnership of captain Hayley Matthews and Kianna Joseph and the bowling of Effie Fletcher, West Indies defeated England by six wickets and reached the semi-finals of the Women's T20 World Cup. England had scored 141 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs on the basis of Natalie Siver Brunt's inning of 57 runs. In reply, West Indies won the match by scoring 142 runs for four wickets in 18 overs with half-centuries from Mathews and Joseph.
