New Delhi. Former West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has retired from all forms of cricket midway through the final season of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) due to injury. With this, Bravo's long journey with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has now ended. Bravo will play against defending champion Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. (KKR) (Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be seen in the role of mentor. KKR has made its official announcement on September 27.

In a career spanning 18 years, Bravo has achieved a lot in T20 cricket, winning titles in the IPL, PSL and Big Bash, as well as becoming world champion twice with the West Indies. He has taken 631 wickets in this format in 582 matches.

Bravo had announced before the current edition of CPL that this would be their last edition. He was due to play in the third season of the UAE ILT20, which was retained by MI Emirates, but decided to opt out after suffering a groin injury while playing against St Lucia Kings in Taruba on Tuesday.

Bravo was the most decorated player in CPL history, winning five titles overall, including three with Trinbago Knight Riders alone. He led TKR to consecutive titles in 2017 and 2018 before leading the Patriots to their first title in 2021.

According to the news of ESPN Cricinfo, Bravo had met KKR CEO Venky Mysore in the middle of CPL. Bravo will be in charge of all the franchise teams of Trinbago Knight Riders, Los Angeles Knight Riders and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders.
