Bhiwani: On the occasion of World Disability Day, the two-day first North Zone Disabled Cricket Premier League T-20 match was started by the Physical Challenge Cricket Association of India (PCCAI) in Bhiwani from Tuesday. This competition is being organized on the lines of IPL, in which each team has been bought for Rs 1 lakh each.
Bhawani MLA Saraf joined: The competition was inaugurated by Bhiwani MLA Ghanshyam Saraf, program president Dharmesh Shah, program coordinator PCCAI President Surendra Lohia by lighting the lamp and blessing the players. These day-night matches will be held under floodlight for two days.
PCCAI President Surendra Lohia said that even though these players were not bought by big firms like Tata, Birla, Ambani, but today the people who have bought the teams of disabled players are no less than Tata, Birla and Ambani. Bhiwani MLA Ghanshyam Saraf said that this big platform has been given for disabled players on World Disability Day. In which disabled players are showing their best game. He said that work is being done to provide all kinds of facilities to disabled players. The state and central governments are also encouraging disabled players from time to time. Even in sports like Para Olympics, disabled players are working to hoist the flag.
On this occasion, captain of the winning team Vijay Kumar said that such a big tournament on World Disability Day is a matter of great pride for us. He has appealed to the Central Government that if disabled players are provided facilities like normal players, then they can also play good cricket.
Here is the story of the first match: In the first match, India Tiger won the toss and decided to bowl. Indian Fighter batted and gave a target of 128 runs in 20 overs. Manish scored 26 runs and Raghu scored 22 runs. Indian Tiger team won this match by five wickets in 17 overs, in which Sumit Gill of Jind was the man of the match.
