Maharajganj. On the birth centenary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, players for the senior category cricket competition will be selected through trials at the District Stadium, Maharajganj. For this, Deputy Sports Officer Dharmendra Kumar has issued a letter to the principals of all the schools asking them to send students for trials.

He informed that the district level selection will be held on Tuesday from 10 am. Divisional level selection will be held on November 13, in which apart from the district, players from Gorakhpur, Deoria, Kushinagar will also participate. The state level event will be held from 16 to 22 November at Green Park, Kanpur. Similarly, the selection trial for the senior women's hockey team will also be held at the district level on November 18 and at the divisional level on November 19. Apart from the district, players from Gorakhpur, Deoria, Kushinagar will be selected in the divisional level selection.
