Will PCB bow before the biggest organization of world cricket?
Champions Trophy: There are about 3 months left for the Champions Trophy 2025 event. On the other hand, the venue has not been decided yet. India has clearly said for the mega event that Team India will not go to Pakistan. Here, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wants to organize the entire tournament in its own country.
It is noteworthy that Team India has not gone to Pakistan for the last 16 years. India played its last match in the neighboring country during the Asia Cup in 2008. Since then, there have been tense political relations between India and Pakistan. There has been no bilateral series between the two teams since 2012–13. Here, Pakistan is hosting an ICC event after 29 years since the 1996 Cricket World Cup. Pakistan lost the hosting rights of 2008 Champions Trophy and 2011 World Cup.

ICC busy in convincing PCB
According to news agency ANI, the International Cricket Council is in back-channel talks with the PCB to ensure that India accepts the hybrid model proposal. ICC Pakistan is trying to convince the board that the hybrid model is the best possible solution.

The report said that ICC has made it clear that no ICC tournament is possible without India's participation. ICC officials are also appealing to Pakistan not to make any statement against India.
The schedule of the tournament is expected to be announced in a few days, with India playing its matches in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to multiple reports, the 2025 Champions Trophy is expected to take place from February 19 to 29. The draft schedule prepared by the PCB has allocated all Indian matches to Lahore, with the India-Pakistan clash scheduled for March 1.
