Chamba. An exciting cricket match was played between Press Club and Rajkumar Brijendra Singh Cricket Club on Saturday at the historic Chaugan Ground, in which Brijendra Singh Club won in the last over.
Batting first during the competition, the Press Club team scored 139 runs. Mithun scored 50 runs and Praveen Kumar scored 37 runs, while Vinod Kumar and Pankaj Salaria took the lead in the beginning and took the team out of trouble.
While chasing the target, Brijendra Singh Club team performed brilliantly. Rajiv Sehgal played an unbeaten inning of 40 runs, while Lucky scored 43 runs in just 17 balls to take his team closer to victory. This match was especially organized with the aim of motivating the youth against drug addiction, so that they avoid drug addiction and increase their interest in sports activities.
At the conclusion of the match, chief guest Satnam Singh praised both the teams and asked for more contribution of youth in such events in future.
