Bikaner's Under 17 girls cricket team has won the 68th state level school sports cricket title in the cricket competition of government and private schools across the state. The team was given a warm welcome on reaching Bikaner on Friday.
The 17-year-old cricket girls category competition was held in Rajsamand from 5 to 10 October. Bikaner defeated Hanumangarh in the final match. Bikaner team batted first and scored 160 runs in the allotted overs. In reply, Hanumangarh team scored 69 runs. Kanchan scored a half-century for Bikaner. On reaching Bikaner, Deputy District Education Officer (SHASI) Anil Boda, former coach Mangalchand Ranga, Manak Vyas welcomed the team. Bikaner's girls team has done such an amazing job for the first time. In the final match, Bikaner girls performed brilliantly and defeated Hanumangarh. On the victory of the girls, Sanjay, Tarun Khatri, Surendra Acharya, physical teachers Surendra Harsh, Abhishek and Parmendra Singh gave cricket kits to the girls. During this, team members Gopal Godara, Shuchi Sardana, student in-charge Maina Bishnoi and Vikas Godara were present.
The players from Bikaner who were included in this team included Heena, Manisha, Sarita, Kanchan, Shaunaya, Anuradha, Kelam, Vanshika, Mansi, PU Ranga, Aarti, Indu, Neeti, Nisha, Priyanka and Mahika. The special thing is that in this the girls of Badanu village of Bikaner performed amazingly. In bowling, Mahika's bowling was excellent, while in fielding, PU Ranga prevented the opposition team from reaching a big score. Kanchan's seventy runs in the final were invaluable.
