The second test will be played in Gekebarha on 5-9 December.

CSA said Gerald Coetzee's scan report revealed that he has a strain in his right groin muscle. It may take four to six weeks for them to recover. Coetzee took four wickets in the Durban Test against Sri Lanka. Now Mafaka has been included in his place in the team for the second test, which will be played at St. George's Park in Gkeberha on 5-9 December.

Big opportunity for 18 year old Mafaka

Joining the national Test team is a big opportunity for 18-year-old Mafaka. He won the title of Player of the Tournament in the Men's Under-19 World Cup held in South Africa this year. Mafaka, who plays for the Lions in domestic cricket, made his T20 International debut for South Africa on the West Indies tour and got a contract from Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2025.
