Pakistan Cricket: A big news is coming out from Pakistan cricket. There is going to be another earthquake in Pakistan cricket. This time again someone has come on the radar of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and his leave is considered certain.
There has been such turmoil in Pakistan cricket for some time now that no one is able to understand what is going on in Pakistan. After the recent 2024 T20 World Cup, the captain was removed, the coach was changed and now in the meantime another big news has come, which will create a stir in the cricket world.
In fact, it is being claimed in media reports that the current head coach of Pakistan, Jason Gillespie can be removed from his post or it can be said that he can resign himself. This news has come at a time when there is an uproar in Pakistan regarding the ICC Champions Trophy to be held next year. Whereas Pakistan team is playing T20 series in Australia.
Circus going on in Pakistan cricket
Pakistan cricket is no less than a circus. This world has seen it. The drama of Pakistan cricket is not ending. You will spit on Pakistan after knowing the reason why Pakistan's head coach has been punished amid the Champions Trophy controversy. Let us tell you that under the coaching of Gillespie, Pakistan won the Test series after a long time. After the resignation of Gary Kirsten, PCB made Jason Gillespie the coach of ODI and T20 and under his coaching, Pakistan recently defeated Australia in the ODI series. But now Gillespie is also being fired.
Why is Gillespie stepping down?
According to the report of Cricinfo, there has been a dispute between Jason Gillespie and PCB regarding money. Actually, PCB wants Gillespie to serve as the head coach of the team in all three formats (Test, ODI, T20) till the Champions Trophy, but PCB does not want to make any changes in Gillespie's contract. This means that Gillespie will get the same salary as the coach of all three formats as he was getting only as a Test coach. The report claims that Gillespie does not agree with this offer from PCB and has rejected the offer, due to which PCB has decided to change the coach.
Who will become the coach in place of Gillespie?
Now the question is who will be the head coach of Pakistan after Gillespie's departure, then according to the report of Cricinfo, former Pakistan fast bowler Aaqib Javed can become the next head coach of Pakistan. Aaqib Javed will be made the all-format head coach of Pakistan in place of Gillespie. Gillespie is the Test coach of Pakistan and is currently the interim coach of the white ball team. But now Aaqib can get this post, who was recently given the responsibility of convenor of Pakistan Selection Committee.
