Stokes said during an interview on Tuesday, “The white ball team has gone in a new direction. We have seen some incredible talents emerge. In the coming times, I think Jacob Bethell is going to be a superstar. I have played a lot of white ball cricket for England, I am very happy and satisfied with what I have achieved in this format of the game.” Stokes, who has played 114 ODIs and 43 T20s, has worked well with Test coach Brendon McCullum and the former New Zealand captain is set to take over the coaching of England's white ball teams in the new year. Stokes said, “If I become a part of the plans of the white ball teams in any way, it is great.” “If I get a call saying 'Do you want to come and play?' then it will definitely be 'yes'.”
Stokes will not be disappointed even if he doesn't play
Stokes also said that he is not going to be very disappointed if he does not play because it means that someone has come and is performing really well. Let us tell you that the England team is currently playing a 5-match ODI series with Australia and after losing the first 2 matches, it has managed to avoid losing the series by winning the third match. The fourth match will be played at Lord's on 27 September and the fifth match on 29 September in Bristol.
