Australia Squad Second Test Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024: The Indian team is currently leading 1-0 in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024. Now Australia has announced its squad for the second Test to be played in Adelaide from 6 December. There has been an important change in the team because all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is struggling with fitness problems these days. Beau Webster may get a chance to debut in his place. Apart from them, the Kangaroo team has expressed confidence in all those players who were seen playing in the Perth Test.
After India's huge win by 295 runs in the Perth Test, Australian captain Pat Cummins had told that Mitchell Marsh was facing fitness related problems since the tour of England. Nothing was clear till now, but now the Australian Cricket Board has confirmed that main man Beau Webster will be replacing him in the pink-ball Test to be played in Adelaide. Webster's statistics in his first-class career were excellent. Apart from scoring 5,297 runs in 93 first-class matches, he has also taken 148 wickets.
Beau Webster will wreak havoc
In the beginning of November, two matches were played between India A and Australia A. In the four innings of those two matches, Webster scored 145 runs including one fifty and also took 7 wickets. Since Mitchell Marsh played the first test, Webster may also get a chance in the playing eleven as his replacement.
In the Perth Test match, the Indian team's first innings was limited to just 150 runs. After this, Team India made a comeback in the match on the basis of strong bowling and in the end won by a huge margin of 295 runs. In that encounter, Jasprit Bumrah took a total of 8 wickets in both the innings for India, while Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal scored centuries.
