Patna, 23 October. In the ongoing Bihar Inter District Boys Under-19 School Cricket Competition in Gaya, Vaibhav Mishra of Sitamarhi and Rahul Bharti of Gaya performed brilliantly with bat and ball and got the ticket for the semi-finals of their team. The teams of Nawada and Siwan have already reached the semi-finals.
There will be a league in the semi-finals also. All the teams will face each other in the semi-finals.
Sitamarhi defeated Aurangabad
Aurangabad won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, Aurangabad scored 90 runs losing all the wickets in 14.3 overs. Nitish scored 35 runs while Naveen Kumar scored 20 runs. On behalf of Sitamarhi, Baibhav Mishra took 3 wickets for 16 runs, Chhotu Kumar took 3 wickets for 19 runs and Raghav Arya took 1 wicket for 15 runs.
In reply, Sitamarhi scored 92 runs for 8 wickets in 14.3 overs and booked the ticket for the semi-finals. Priyanshu Kumar played an inning of 24 runs, Fazal Alam played 21 runs and Vaibhav Mishra played an unbeaten inning of 19 runs. From Aurangabad, Sonal Singh Rajput took 3 wickets for 28 runs, Ajay Kumar took 2 wickets for 9 runs and Nandan took 1 wicket for 17 runs. Vaibhav Mishra of Sitamarhi was given the Player of the Match award.
Gaya defeated Begusarai
Gaya won the toss and batting first scored 197 runs losing all the wickets in 20 overs. Rahul Bharti scored unbeaten 62, Ayush Kumar scored 51 and Yuvraj Singh scored 23 runs. For Begusarai, Manas Raj took 1 wicket for 25 runs, Priyanshu Raj took 1 wicket for 32 runs and Ankit Kumar took 1 wicket for 41 runs.
In reply, Begusarai team could score only 128 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Abhiraj Dutt scored 46 runs in 37 balls and Anmol Vishwas scored 29 runs in 25 balls. For Gaya, Rahul Bharti took 3 wickets for 6 runs, Mayank Pandey took 2 wickets for 20 runs and Ayush Kumar took 1 wicket for 18 runs.
