The 40 Plus Cricket League started from Wednesday at Dharnidhar Sports Ground under the joint aegis of Sanjay Harsh Foundation and Desert Sign Cricket Academy. Two matches were played on the first day. In the first match, Sanjay Harsh Foundation defeated Tedja XI by 8 wickets and 83 XI defeated City XI by 8 wickets.
Organizer Prakash Chura said that in the first match played on Wednesday, TDEJA XI, playing first, scored 132 runs in the stipulated overs, in which Bhanwar Lal of TDEJA XI contributed 50 runs. On behalf of Sanjay Harsh Foundation, Rajkumar Joshi took 3 wickets and Vijendra Vyas took 2 wickets. Sanjay Harsh Foundation achieved the set target by losing two wickets. On behalf of Sanjay Harsh Foundation, Vijendra Vyas contributed 40 runs and Rajkumar Joshi contributed 37 runs. Rajkumar Joshi was given the Man of the Match award by former cricketer Ravi Shankar Purohit for his all-round performance. In the second match played on Wednesday, City XI, batting first, scored only 80 runs after losing 6 wickets in the stipulated overs, in which Kishore Purohit contributed the maximum of 25 runs. Trilok of 83 XI took 2 wickets.
Chasing the set target, it was achieved by losing 6 wickets. Mool Chand contributed the maximum 14 runs from 83 XI. For City XI, Santosh took 2 wickets and Kishan Ojha, Dilip Joshi and Kapil Harsh took one wicket each. Trilok of 83 XI was given the Man of the Match award. Earlier in the morning, in the inaugural program, chief guests social workers Rajesh Chura and Gyan Goswami inaugurated the competition. Kishore Purohit presided over the program. Mahendra Purohit, Surendra Purohit, Kapil Harsh, Giriraj Purohit and Vikrant Acharya were present in the program.
