Haroli (Una). A three-day cricket tournament started from Friday by Jai Baba Naina Adarsh Cricket Club at the sports ground in village Kangar of Haroli area. Players from 40 teams of Punjab including District Una will showcase their talent in the competition.
On the first day of the competition, players from Kuldeep-11, Thathal Club, Tatera, Basoli, Nagara Hoshiarpur, Laldi, Beenwal, Hoshiarpur, Nangal Kalan, Karmapur, Kuthera Jaswala and other teams participated. The competition was inaugurated by retired soldier Vicky Fauji of Kangar village and Mahesh Kumar, HR Manager Deepak Fasteners Limited Tahliwal as the chief guest. Vicky Fauji said that in the present times, keeping the youth and the new generation safe from drugs has become a challenge for the intellectual class of the society. Although sports competitions are being organized from time to time by some sports lovers, yet the young generation is not able to save itself from the effects of drugs. Therefore, we all have to protect the youth from falling prey to drugs. HR Manager Mahesh Kumar requested the state government to construct more and more playgrounds to connect the youth with sports.
