Telangana: Team India's fast bowler and T20 World Cup winning team member Mohammad Siraj has taken charge as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). Siraj took over the charge of DSP from Director General of Police (DGP), Telangana.
Last on August 2, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao had announced Group 1 category posts to boxer Nikhat Zareen and cricketer Mohammed Siraj for their achievements in their respective fields. Accordingly, Siraj took charge as DSP today. On the occasion, MP M. Anil Kumar Yadav and another MP Mohammad Fahimuddin Qureshi were also present.
Tweeting about this, Telangana Police wrote, “Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj has been appointed DSP in Telangana. He has been given this honor for his achievements in cricket and making our state proud. He will continue to play cricket and be an inspiration to many in this new role.”
During this, Mohammed Siraj also met Telangana Chief Minister K. Expressed gratitude to Chandrashekhar Rao. Mohammed Siraj has played an important role in becoming champions in the World Test Championship final, ICC ODI World Cup final and the recently concluded ICC T20 World Cup.
