Indian team bowler Shikha Pandey bowled four overs of her coat in this match and spent 52 runs, but did not get a single wicket in her name. Surprisingly, there is an Indian bowler at second place in this list, whose name is Deepti Sharma. Deepti gave 45 runs against New Zealand but did not take a wicket.

India had to face defeat in this match by 58 runs. This is India's second biggest defeat so far in terms of runs in the Women's T20 World Cup. Earlier, it was defeated by Australia by 85 runs in the 2020 final.

In this match, New Zealand batsman Sophie Devine batted very well. Sophie scored unbeaten 57 runs with the help of seven fours in 36 balls. With this, Sophie is the first New Zealand batsman to score more than 50 while playing at number-4 or below in a Women's T20 World Cup match. Before him, Francis McKay had played an inning of 49 runs against South Africa in Galle in 2012.

New Zealand bowler Rosemary Meir took four wickets for 19 runs in four overs in this match. She is the second most successful bowler to take four wickets in the Women's T20 World Cup. Ahead of him is Nicola Brown who took four wickets for 15 runs against Pakistan in 2010. At number three is Sophie Devine who took four wickets for 22 runs against West Indies in 2016.

Sophie Devine, along with scoring a half-century, also took three catches in this match. With this, she has become the fourth player to score a half-century and take three catches in a Women's World Cup match.
