Rampur. RPL Season-3 cricket tournament started on Thursday at Shaheed Azam Sports Stadium. In which Rampur Green won the inaugural match, while Rampur Strikers won the second match.
The cricket tournament was inaugurated by chief guest social worker Mamun Shah Khan and municipality chairperson media in-charge Syed Faisal Hasan by cutting the ribbon. The guests got introduced to the players and encouraged them. The first match of the tournament was played between Rampur Lion and Rampur Green, Rampur Lion won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting, Rampur Lions set a target of 164 runs in 20 overs, in which Mohsin contributed 44 runs and Kamal contributed 46 runs. Rampur Green bowlers Sarabjit, Manzoor and Rohit took two wickets each. Rampur Green achieved 164 runs while chasing the target. In this, Rohit contributed 89 runs and Ahmed Nawaz contributed 30 runs. Rampur Lion bowler Shahnawaz took 3 wickets. Rohit was given man of the match. The second match was played between Rampur Titans and Rampur Strikers. Batting first, Rampur Strikers set a target of 162 runs. In this, Salik contributed 51 runs and Danish Abedin contributed 32 runs. Faizul, Faizan took two wickets each. Chasing the target, Rampur Titan could score only 145 runs. In this, Karan contributed 35 runs and Shad contributed 36 runs. Nadeem took 3 wickets and Salik took 2 wickets. Man of the match went to Salik. In the committee, Anees Shamsi did the scoring, Ubaid Iqbal Shamsi did the empire.
