Video: This happened for the first time in the history of West Indies cricket, the board took a big step regarding the contract.

West Indies: West Indies Cricket Board has announced the central contract list for the next one year. The board has also given multi-year contracts to some players. This is the first time that West Indies Cricket has given multi-year contracts to 9 players for 2 years. There are 6 players from the men's team and 3 from the women's team. Recently, an agreement has been reached between Cricket West Indies and Players Association, after which this decision has been taken.

The West Indies Cricket Board has included 15 players of the men's team in the central contract. Out of these, 6 players have been given multi-year contracts. Whereas, if we talk about the women's team, they have given contracts to 15 players. In this also the board has given multi-year contracts to 3 players. Kraigg Brathwaite (Test captain), Rovman Powell (T20 captain), Alik Athanaje, Casey Carty, Roston Chase, Joshua da Silva, Kaveem Hodge, Akil Hussain and Romario Shepherd have got one-year contracts. Shai Hope (ODI captain), Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Brandon King, Gudakesh Moti and Jayden Seales have been given multi-year contracts. Watch video for more information:
