Naiduniya Representative, Gwalior: Cricket stars of both the teams will come for the India-Bangladesh T-20 match on October 2. This will be the first strong step towards the return of international cricket in Gwalior after 14 years. Key players including Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav will arrive in different flights, while the Bangladesh team will arrive by Air India Delhi flight at 4:30 pm. The last ODI international match between India and South Africa was played here on 24 February 2010.

Special preparations have been made at Hotel Usha Kiran Palace (UKP) and Hotel Radisson to welcome the Indian and Bangladeshi cricketers. In view of the extra security of the Bangladesh team, there was confusion throughout the day regarding the timing of the players' arrival here.

The players will be brought to UKP under tight security. Players of both the teams will strengthen their preparations by doing net practice from Thursday. The Indian team will play T-20 matches against Bangladesh in Gwalior (October 6), New Delhi (October 9) and Hyderabad (October 12).

Gambhir first came as a cricketer, now he is coming in the role of coach.

Former Indian team opener Gautam Gambhir, who came to Gwalior as a cricketer 17 years ago, will now be seen here in the role of a coach. The Indian team had defeated arch-rival Pakistan in the one-day match played at Captain Roop Singh Stadium in 2007.
