India won this Test MCO in just two and a half days, because rain started after half of the first day's play and continued till the second and third day. When play started on the fourth day, India started its aggressive game. This was the reason why India dominated the play on the fourth and fifth days and registered a spectacular victory.

Here, with the victory, Team India has equaled the 85 year old record. In fact, for the first time in Indian Test history, Team India has won a Test without playing a maiden over. Before India, England had achieved such a feat 85 years ago. England defeated South Africa by an innings and 13 runs in the year 1939. The England team did not play even a single maiden over in this match.
