In the third match of the T20I tri-series, America, batting first against Namibia, scored 181 runs in 20 overs. America won the toss and decided to bat first. Wicketkeeper batsman Andries Gaus performed brilliantly, scoring 81 runs in 50 balls, which included four fours and six sixes. Gause provided a strong foundation to the American innings. Opening for America, Saiteja Mukkamalla scored 17 runs in 11 balls. However, while trying to score fast runs, he was caught out by JJ Smit. Smit Patel scored 24 runs, but he too was dismissed by Jack Brassell in 11.4 overs. Nitish Kumar made a good contribution in the middle order by scoring 36 runs in 22 balls, but he too returned to the pavilion after being caught by Gerhard Erasmus. In the last overs, Milind Kumar (13 not out) and Shayan Jahangir (3 not out) further increased the team's score.
Jack Brassell was the most successful bowler in Namibia's bowling, taking 2 wickets for 42 runs in 4 overs. Gerhard Erasmus and Bernard Scholtz also took one wicket each. This match is important for both the teams, as victory will keep their hopes of progressing further in the tri-series alive. America has made a great comeback after losing the first match.
