Ajman (UAE): Former Pakistan captain Zaheer Abbas has warned about the dangers facing Test cricket amid the emergence of new formats of cricket. Zaheer Abbas, known as the Bradman of Asia, also expressed his concern over the condition of Pakistan cricket.

Abbas said this during the Cricket Predicta Conclave here. Asia's biggest cricket talk show – Cricket Predicta celebrated the Women's World T20 Cup to be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 3rd October. Held to celebrate the 100th episode of Cricket Predicta, the conclave was attended by legends of cricket, women's cricket and renowned sportscasters from India and Pakistan.

Zaheer Abbas said, “Cricket has changed. The style has changed. Money is in the game. The players are happy, but they always have to remember that Test cricket is the real cricket. This shows who is a good player. In such a situation, players should not distance themselves from the basics of cricket and the one who has the basics can fit in any format.”

Zaheer also said that if Pakistan performs well in ICC tournaments then the overall monetary health of cricket will further improve. The former ICC president also paid tribute to his best friend from across the border, late Bishan Singh Bedi, and talked about his relationship with India.

Mudassar Nazar, considered to be the most thinking cricketer and the person with the “Golden Arm”, said that with the changing cricket, players should change their game, but their game should always be based on the basics.
