Earlier in the second T20 match, South Africa captain Aiden Markram won the toss and decided to bowl first. After losing the toss, the Irish team, who came to bat first, got off to a great start and for the first wicket, Paul Stirling and Ross Adair batted brilliantly and scored 137 runs on the board in just 78 balls.

Chasing the target, the South African team had an excellent start and for the first wicket, Ryan Rickelton and Reeza Hendricks batted brilliantly and scored 50 runs in just 33 balls. The South African team could score only 185 runs after losing nine wickets in 20 overs. For South Africa, Matthew Britzke played the highest innings of 51 unbeaten runs. Apart from Matthew Britzke, Reeza Hendricks scored 51 runs. Whereas for Ireland, Mark Adair took the maximum of four wickets in his name. Apart from Mark Adair, Graham Hume took three wickets.
