During this, Ismail broke the record of Australian fast bowler Ellis Perry, who bowled the ball at a speed of 130.5 kilometers per hour in the WPL last year. The special thing is that Perry broke Shabnim's record by throwing the fastest ball. But this record again came into his lap.

Who holds this record in international cricket?

Ismail also holds the record for bowling the fastest ball in international cricket, when he bowled the ball at a speed of 128 km per hour against West Indies in 2016. He performed brilliantly with the ball in the match, on the basis of which South Africa team was successful in making it to the ICC World Cup final for the first time. Apart from this, Ismail has also crossed the 127 kmph mark twice in the 2022 ODI World Cup.

Ismail, 35, retired from international cricket a few months after the T20 World Cup in May 2023, ending his 16-year-old career. She has played all eight Women's T20 World Cups for her country.
