Mohammad of Samastipur is a big name among the junior cricketers of Bihar cricket world. This player has created quite a stir not only at the junior level but also in the senior matches. This cricketer, who made his debut for Bihar in the BCCI domestic tournament last year, will take charge of the Bihar team this time. Mohammad Alam was given the command of Bihar Under-19 cricket team which will participate in Vinoo Mankad Trophy Under-19 ODI cricket.
Started playing cricket at the age of nine
Mohammad Alam started playing cricket at the age of just 9 in the year 2015 at Patel Ground, Samastipur Kohinoor Cricket Academy. In a very short time, Alam became a perfect left-handed opening batsman. Alam is the son of Badre Alam and Mashuma Praveen, residents of Rahimpur Rudauli in Samastipur district. He is the youngest among five siblings. Alam is a 12th class student of BRB College, Samastipur. Alam's father is the supervisor of sanitation workers in Samastipur Municipal Corporation. mother is a housewife
Alam's cricket coach Manish Prakash alias Satish told that Alam came to my Kohinoor Cricket Academy in 2015 to learn cricket at the age of just 9 and in a very short time he became an excellent left-handed batsman. He also bowls medium pace with his right arm part time.
Made debut in BCCI match last year
Mohammad Alam played his debut match for Bihar Under-19 cricket team against Jharkhand in the Cooch Behar Trophy in the season 2023. Played a brilliant inning of 150 runs in the first innings of this match. On the basis of this performance, he was also selected in Bihar Under 23 cricket team.
Currently practicing at Bihar Cambridge Academy
When Mohammad Alam lives in Patna, he practices at Cambridge Cricket Academy. Here Alam got to learn a lot of techniques from Kundan Kumar Sharma and Vijay Bharti and gradually his game is improving.
On Mohammad Alam becoming the captain of Bihar Under-19 men's cricket team, his family as well as all the officials of Samastipur District Cricket Association have thanked all the officials of Bihar Cricket Association as well as Bihar Cricket Association President Rakesh Kumar Tiwari.
