Dwayne Bravo has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket after being ruled out of CPL 2024 due to injury. Last year he had announced his retirement from IPL. This great player retired from international cricket in 2021. Since then he was playing in the T20 league. But now Bravo will not play here either.
Announcing his retirement in his Instagram post, Bravo wrote, “Playing 21 years as a professional cricketer… it has been an incredible journey for me. In which there were many ups and downs. The most important thing is that I was able to live my dream. I gave my 100% at every step.”

Bravo further wrote, “My mind now wants to move forward, but my body is now responding. Cannot bear pain, breakage and stress. I can't put myself in a situation where I hurt my teammates, my fans or the teams I represent. Disappoint them.”
After retiring from cricket, Bravo is trying his hand in coaching. He worked as a bowling coach for IPL team Chennai Super Kings for 2 years. Apart from this, he was also appointed as the bowling consultant of Afghanistan for the 2024 T20 World Cup held in West Indies and America.
Bravo made his debut in the year 2004. Since then he was playing cricket continuously. He has more than 6 thousand runs in his name in international cricket. Also, he took 199 wickets in ODI and 86 wickets in Test. He took a total of 78 wickets in T-20 International cricket. While playing for Chennai Super Kings in the 2013 IPL, he took the maximum of 32 wickets.
