Dubai: Ticket sales for the Women's T20 World Cup, which begins next month in the United Arab Emirates, began on Wednesday, with the lowest priced ticket being five dirhams (about Rs 114). The first match of the tournament will be played on October 3 and thus the tickets have been released for sale just a week before the start of the competition. Earlier the tournament was to be held in Bangladesh but due to political unrest there, its hosting was handed over to the United Arab Emirates. The International Cricket Council (ICC) said in a statement, “The price of the tickets has been decided keeping in mind the accessibility of the audience. The lowest priced ticket is five dirhams while the premium seat ticket is 40 dirhams (about Rs 910). On the day when two matches are played, a single ticket will provide entry to both the matches.” Spectators under the age of 18 will be given free entry. 10 countries will participate in the Women's T20 World Cup, including defending champions Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa and West Indies. The final will be played on October 20.
Indian team schedule for T20 World Cup

Before the start of the T20 World Cup, the Indian women's team will play warm-up matches with West Indies on 29 September and South Africa on 1 October. Team India, captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, will start its campaign by playing against New Zealand on 4 October. After this, India will face its arch-rival Pakistan in the World Cup on 6 October. After this, Team India will face Sri Lanka on 9 October. At the same time, in the last match of its group stage, the Indian women's cricket team will face Australia.
