This year, many great players in the cricket world retired from international cricket.
From Australian cricket team legend David Warner to Indian cricket team's Shikhar Dhawan, many prominent stars have put a full stop to their international careers in 2024.
Apart from these, some players also retired from one or two formats.

david warner
In the T20 World Cup 2024, the Australian team was eliminated after losing in the semi-finals and this proved to be the last match of Warner's international career.
Warner, who started his T20 international career in 2009, scored 3,277 runs in 110 matches at an average of 33.43.
In his ODI career, he scored 6,932 runs in 161 matches at an average of 45.30 and strike rate of 97.26.
In his Test career, he scored 8,786 runs in 112 matches.
Shikhar Dhawan
Dhawan, who was out of the team for some time, retired in August 2024. He played 34 Tests, 167 ODIs and 68 T-20 international matches.
In Tests he scored 2,315 runs at an average of 40.61, which included 7 centuries.
In ODIs, he scored 6,793 runs in 167 matches with 17 centuries and 39 half-centuries. His average has been 44.11.
In T-20, he has 1,759 runs in 68 matches at an average of 27.92.
Dinesh Karthik
Dinesh Karthik retired in June 2024.
He played 26 Tests, 94 ODIs and 60 T-20 international matches in his international career. In Test cricket, this player had 1,025 runs at an average of 25.
Similarly, in ODI he has 1,752 runs in his name at an average of 30.20.
In T-20 international cricket, he scored 686 runs in 48 innings of 60 matches at an average of 26.38 and strike rate of 142.61.

England legend James Anderson ended his international career in June 2024.
He played his last Test against West Indies at Lord's.
In his Test career, he took 704 wickets in 188 matches at an average of 26.45. His best performance was 7/42 wickets. He is the third highest wicket taker in the Test format.
The English team also played 194 ODI and 19 T-20 matches.
Moeen Ali
England's Moeen Ali retired from international cricket in September 2024.
He scored 3,094 runs in 118 innings of 68 Tests while remaining unbeaten 8 times. In bowling, he took 204 wickets at an average of 37.31. In his ODI career, he scored 2,355 runs in 138 matches at an average of 24.27.
He took 111 wickets in bowling. He scored 1,229 runs in 92 T20 matches at an average of 21.18.
These major players also retired
South Africa's Dean Elgar and New Zealand's Neil Wagner retired from all formats this year.
Saurabh Tiwari, Varun Aaron, Wriddhiman Saha, Siddharth Kaul and Kedar Jadhav from India had said goodbye to their international cricket.
From India, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja had retired only from the T20 format.
New Zealand's Colin Munro, England's Dawid Malan had retired from all formats.
