Siraj bowled the fastest ball in cricket history?
In the second innings of Adelaide Test, Indian bowlers were seen struggling for wickets. Jasprit Bumrah got the only wicket. Whereas the column of wickets of Harshit Rana and Mohammad Siraj is empty. However, Siraj heated up the discussion with one of his balls. In a viral video you can see that Siraj bowled a ball at a speed of 181.6 kilometers per hour. This incident happened during Siraj's 10th and Australia's 25th over of the innings.
speed gun malfunction
Till date in the history of cricket, no bowler has been able to bowl the ball even at a speed of 162 kilometers per hour. Bowling at a speed of 181.6 km per hour is a far cry. During this delivery of Siraj, there might have been a malfunction in the speed gun due to which the speed of the ball was shown wrong. Malfunctioning of speed guns in cricket matches is not a new thing.
