Late on the GF College grounds of Shahjahanpur. The third quarter final of Suraj Kanti Cricket Tournament was played on Wednesday. In this, SPS Moradabad team defeated Vishwanath Cricket Academy, Uttarakhand. Moradabad batted first and scored 131 runs. Preet Sirohi contributed 28 runs, NP Singh contributed 18 runs. Simran took three wickets from Vishwanath Cricket Academy. Harshit Yadav took two wickets.
Vishwanath Cricket Academy performed well in the second innings, but could not win. Had to face defeat by nine runs. Batsman Dharmendra Gautam scored 40 runs. Moradabad bowlers NP Singh and Abhimanyu took three wickets each. NP Singh was honored with the Man of the Match trophy. There was support from tournament director Abhay Singh Gurjar, Shikhar Dixit, Rahul Saxena, Anuj Yadav, Shobhit Vajpayee, Pankaj Tiwari, umpire Munajir Niazi, Sunny Verma.
