Dhoni vs Harbhajan Rift: Harbhajan Singh and MS Dhoni, who were once the match-winning pair in Indian cricket, have parted ways. Together, both of them have won the World Cup for the country in 2007 (T20 World Cup) and 2011 (ODI World Cup). Now we are not talking for the last 10 years. This claim has been made by veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh. The former Indian spinner did not elaborate on the rift between him and Dhoni, but from his latest statement it is clear that something has happened between the two.
Those who became champions in 2011 gradually dropped out.
Harbhajan was an integral part of India's Test, ODI and T20 teams till the night of 2 April 2011. On the same day, Team India was successful in winning the World Cup after 28 years. But as surprising as it may be, the playing-11 for the final was never formed again. The players of Team India playing in that match could not play together. Between the 2011 World Cup final and the 2015 World Cup, players like Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan retired. Veterans like Harbhajan and Yuvraj Singh were gradually dropped from the team. Both the players have spoken about not being treated well.
Dhoni-Harbhajan played together for India in 2015
Harbhajan and Dhoni last played for India in 2015 against South Africa. Three years later, both of them came together again in Chennai Super Kings. Played together in two seasons of IPL there. However, apart from their on-field discussions about matches, Harbhajan admitted that he has not spoken to Dhoni in over a decade.

What did Harbhajan say?
The veteran Indian spinner said in a conversation with News 18, “No, I do not talk to Dhoni. We talked when I was playing in CSK, but apart from this we have not talked. It's been 10 years or more. I have no reason. When we were playing in IPL in CSK, we used to talk, and that too was limited to the field. After that he did not come to my room nor did I go to his room.'' Harbhajan took the names of Yuvraj and Ashish Nehra, with whom he remains in constant touch. But when it came to Dhoni, Harbhajan was left behind. This experienced player, who played 103 Tests, did not directly target Dhoni, but said whatever had to be said. This shows that everything is not going well between the two.

'I never tried to call him'
Harbhajan said, “I have nothing against him.” If they have something to say, they can tell me. But if they had, they would have told me by now. I never tried calling them because I'm so obsessed. I call only those who answer my phone. I don't have time for anything else. I stay in touch with people who are my friends. A relationship is always about give and take. If I respect you, I expect that you will also respect me or you will answer me. But if I call you once or twice and get no response, I'll probably only meet you as often as I need to.'
