Sadbhavna Cricket Cup: Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will inaugurate the Sadbhavna Cricket Cup competition. The competition will be held at Bishop Kattan School on December 7 and 8. A preliminary meeting in this regard was organized by the Snow Sports and Cultural Association (HSCA) on Monday. The meeting was coordinated by Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania.
Chief Media Advisor to the Chief Minister and HSCA President Naresh Chauhan, Governor XI's representative MLA Hans Raj and Sangh's General Secretary Hardayal Bhardwaj were present in the meeting. The Governor and Chief Minister will inaugurate the tournament on December 7. The first match of this tournament organized on the theme of Quit addiction, play sports, will be played between Governor XI and Press XI on December 7 at 9:30 am. The second match will be played on the same day at 1:30 pm between Chief Minister (CM) XI and Chief Justice (CJ) XI, in which Acting Chief Justice of High Court Tarlok Singh Chauhan will be the chief guest.
The final match will be played on 8 December. It will be inaugurated by Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania. Kewal Singh Pathania said that the Chief Minister would attend the closing ceremony as the chief guest and distribute prizes to the winners and participating teams of the tournament. He said that friendly games promote the spirit of harmony.
He said that sports teaches us to play fairly, to be proud of winning and to be proud of losing. The Sadbhavana Cup conveys this message. Speaking on the occasion, Naresh Chauhan said that sports teaches us to be equal to our competitors, teammates and associates and appreciate their abilities and achievements and we should behave in the same way in our daily lives.
