Chasing the target of 91 runs, the opening pair of Manish Pandey and Mayank Agarwal gave a good start to the team. There was a partnership of 76 runs between the two batsmen for the first wicket. Gurjapaneet Singh gave the first success to Tamil Nadu by dismissing Mayank Agarwal (30) in the 10th over. In the same over, Gurjapaneet Singh also sent Manish Pandey (42) to the pavilion. R Smaran was out after scoring (one) run. Krishnan Sreejith (nine not out) and Abhinav Manohar (two) scored 93 runs for three wickets in 11.3 overs to give their team a seven-wicket win. For Tamil Nadu, Gurjapaneet Singh dismissed two batsmen and Varun Chakraborty dismissed one batsman.
Earlier today, Tamil Nadu won the toss and decided to bat first. Tamil Nadu, who came to bat, had a very poor start and lost four wickets at the score of seven.
