Four teams will participate in the cricket competition in Ayodhya on 22nd December.

Ayodhya, November 30 () Four teams including Ram Mandir Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh will participate in the Shri Ram Premier Cricket League to be played in Ayodhya on December 22. The officers provided this information.


In a one-day event on December 22 in Ayodhya, four teams associated with Ram Janmabhoomi temple will play T-20 cricket competition. These three teams are Larsen & Turbo, Tata Consultancy and Canara Bank.

According to an official information, 'All four teams will play each other in the cricket ground of a private college and the tournament will start at 9 am.'

Temple Trust Secretary Champat Rai and other trustees will also be present on the field to encourage their team.

This will be the first time that senior Hindu religious leaders will be seen on the cricket field. Although the priests of Ayodhya were known for their love for wrestling, but in the changing scenario, cricket will become a part of the history of Ram Temple.

On the occasion of the consecration ceremony of Ram temple, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar had darshan of Ram Lalla and later some members of the Indian cricket team also had darshan of Ram temple including Ravindra Jadeja, Gautam Gambhir and Sunil Gavaskar.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the new idol of Ramlala was consecrated in the Ayodhya temple on January 22.
