Earlier in the second ODI, Ireland captain Amy Hunter won the toss and decided to bat. The Irish team, who came to bat first after winning the toss, had a disappointing start and suffered two major setbacks at the score of just 35 runs. After this, captain Amy Hunter and Orla Prendergast together took charge of the innings and took the team's score beyond 100. The Irish team could score 193 runs after losing six wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. For Ireland, captain Amy Hunter played a brilliant half-century of 68 runs. During this innings, captain Amy Hunter hit eight fours in 88 balls. Apart from Amy Hunter, Orla Prendergast scored 37 runs.
Sultana Khatun gave the first success to the Bangladesh team. Sultana Khatoon took maximum two wickets for Bangladesh. Apart from Sultana Khatoon, Nahida Akhtar and Shorna Akhtar got one wicket each. Bangladesh team had to score 194 runs in 50 overs to win this match.
The Bangladesh team, which came to chase the target, had a disappointing start and the team suffered its first major setback at the score of just 15 runs. Bangladesh team achieved the target by losing five wickets in the over. For Bangladesh, opening batsman Fargana Haq played the highest innings of 50 runs.
Apart from Fargana Haq, Sharmin Akhtar scored 43 runs. Orla Prendergast gave the first major success to the Irish team. Laura Delaney took maximum two wickets for Ireland. Apart from Laura Delaney, Arlene Kelly, Orla Prendergast and Ava Canning took one wicket each. The third and last match of the series will be played on Monday i.e. 2nd December at Zahoor Ahmed Chaudhary Stadium in Chattogram from 1:30 pm.
