In the inter-college cricket competition organized by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Shekhawati University, Sikar, Mahatma Gandhi PG College, Shrimadhopur entered the semi-finals by defeating Government Science PG College, Sabalpura (Sikar) by 20 runs.
Coach Ramsingh Jat told that this competition was organized in the sports ground of Kesavanand PG College, Bhadhadhar. After winning the toss and batting first, Mahatma Gandhi PG College, Shrimadhopur set a target of 162 runs. While chasing the target, Government Science PG College, Sabalpura was reduced to just 140 runs. In this, Mahatma Gandhi PG College, Shrimadhopur won by 20 runs. Batsman Akash Chejara scored a brilliant 105 runs and was the man of the match by taking 2 wickets. The performance of the bowlers was excellent. Shankar and Akash took two wickets each. The next semi-final match will be against Baba Khinwadas PG College, Sanglia. Director Mohar Singh Kharra, Principal Dr. Virendra Saini, office in-charge Kailash Kumar expressed happiness over the team's victory.
