Former CM's son Vaibhav Gehlot became an example
The method of entering politics through cricket was adopted by Vaibhav Gehlot, son of former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Vaibhav Gehlot entered active politics on this path and contested the Lok Sabha elections from Jalore Sirohi Lok Sabha seat on Congress ticket. Earlier, he had also contested Lok Sabha elections from Jodhpur. However, he did not win in both the elections. Former CM Gehlot had made his son the president of Rajasthan Cricket Association. For this, the District Cricket Association was taken in its favor. Vaibhav was successful in making Gehlot the President of RCA for the second time but after the change of government in the state, he had to resign from the post of President of RCA.
