A pitch and field are being prepared at the Jawaharlal Nehru Government College Ground in Barwah for cricket lovers. Just in front of the under construction building of the college, this ground is being made especially for leather cricket.

It is being constructed by the Public Participation Committee. Committee members including Jan Bhagidari President Jitendra Surana inspected the ground under construction at 4 pm on Thursday afternoon. During this, Principal in-charge Dr. Mangala Thakur and sports teacher Dr. Jitendra Kaithwas were also present.

Two cricket pitches will be built

Here Prof. Kathwas told the committee members that this ground has been prepared in a radius of about 75 meters. In which two cricket pitches will be made. The construction of the pitch has started from today itself. The pitch is being prepared for leather cricket by digging about 4 feet deep.

The cricket ground has been prepared on a partial slope. So that instead of rain accumulating in the ground, it goes out of the ground due to the slope. For this, a drain outlet has also been prepared near the boundary wall. In about two months this ground will be ready for leather ball cricket players. District, division, state level cricket competitions will be hosted on this ground. The cricket talents of the city will be able to improve their game on this ground.

Grounds are being improved with players' suggestions

Chairman Surana along with committee members Ganesh Chaudhary, Ravi Aron, Romesh Vijayvargiya, Raju Rathore, Amit Joshi, Sunil Jaiswal inspected the ground closely.

Committee Chairman Jitendra Surana said, this ground is being constructed under the master plan of the proposed government college of the Public Participation Committee. Government organization PWD is constructing it. This cricket ground has been prepared by leveling the rough and potholed ground.

But the ground is still not level at some places. In such a situation, there is a risk of the player getting injured. PWD officials have been asked to identify such places and level them. Besides, the pitch should also be of standard standard. Suggestions regarding the ground have also been taken from senior cricket players of the city. This will be implemented to improve the ground.
