Canberra: The Indian team is currently on a tour of Australia for the Border Gavaskar Trophy and before the second test match, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese organized a welcome ceremony at the Parliament House, in which the Indian players met the Australian Prime Minister. On this occasion, Indian captain Rohit Sharma also gave a speech in the Australian Parliament. In which he appreciated the strong relationship between India and Australia and stressed on maintaining the momentum of winning the series in the current tour.

Rohit said in his speech, “Sports and trade relations between India and Australia are very old, for the last many years we have come to this part of the world to play cricket and enjoy the different cultures of the country. But Rohit also admitted that “Australia is a challenging place for players to come here and play cricket because there is passion in every player, that is why it has always been a big challenge for us to come here and play cricket.”

Rohit further said, “We have had some success in the recent past and last week we want to maintain that momentum. We also want to enjoy the culture of Australia. The diversity of the cities gives us a different feel. We like being here. It's never easy to come and enjoy our journey and hopefully over the next few weeks we can entertain the Australian public as well as the Indian fans. “

The second test will be played from 6 December
Let us tell you that the Indian team reached Canberra from Perth on Thursday morning, where they will play a day-night match against Prime Minister's XI at Manuka Oval on Saturday. India registered a resounding 295-run win over Australia in the first Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy in Perth and took a 1-0 lead in the five-Test series. The second Test, which is a day-night match, will be played in Adelaide from 6 to 10 December.
