Indian team will play practice matches from 30th November
The Indian team reached Canberra from Perth on the morning of 28 November. The team will play a two-day day-night practice match against Prime Minister's XI from November 30. Indian coach Gautam Gambhir will not be with the team in this match. He has returned to India. The two-day match is very important for the preparation for the day-night second test. Pink Kookaburra ball will be used for this. Prime Minister's XI will be captained by all-rounder Jack Edwards. The team has many young players along with experienced players like Scott Boland and Matthew Renshaw. The rules of the match will be decided by both the teams and it is expected that everyone will get a chance to bat and bowl as this match does not have official status.
Rohit and Gill may return
Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill may return in the second test. This has increased the difficulties of team management. Team India may have to make changes in the playing-11 despite winning the match. On the fourth day of the first match of the series against Australia, Rohit Sharma was seen sitting with Gambhir in the Indian dressing room. Rohit was seen practicing with the pink ball in the nets on Monday and was seen working on his skills ahead of the important match in Adelaide.
