Two matches were played today in the Nalanda District Junior League 2024, organized under the aegis of Cricket Association of Nalanda, in which Nalanda A and Nalanda C won.
Nalanda A vs Nalanda H
Nalanda A won by 10 wickets. Nalanda H, batting first, scored only 30 runs losing 10 wickets in 11.1 overs. Manish contributed 13 runs. Ashutosh took 3 wickets for 10 runs, Aditya took 2 wickets for 10 runs and Saurav took 2 wickets for 6 runs.
In reply, Nalanda A team achieved the target in 5.2 overs without losing any wicket in which Aditya scored 12 not out and Ankit scored 4 not out. Ashutosh Kumar of the winning team was declared man of the match.
Nalanda F vs Nalanda C
Nalanda C won by 8 wickets. Nalanda F, batting first, scored 114 runs in 19.2 overs with the help of Rohit's 49 runs, Arjun's 15 runs and Mamta Rai's 12 runs. Mohammad Sam took 2 wickets for 18 runs, Yug Sinha took 2 wickets for 7 runs.
In reply, Nalanda C won the match by scoring 118 runs losing two wickets in 13.3 overs. In which Yug Sinha scored 45 not out, Himanshu 29 and Vijay scored 12 not out. Arjun took 1 wicket for 21 runs and Harsh took 1 wicket for 18 runs. Yug Sinha was awarded the Man of the Match award for his all-round performance.
Women players are also being given a chance in junior matches so that the game of Nalanda women players can be improved.
