Indian team batsman Devdutt Padikkal was disappointed when he did not find any buyer in the IPL mega auction. Padikkal's base price was Rs 2 crore, but no one bought him. Padikkal was happy when he was stopped due to injury to Shubman Gill. He joined the Indian team and batted at number three in both the innings. However, he could not do anything special. He could not open the account in the first innings, whereas he scored 25 runs in the second innings. This did not prove to be good for Padikkal and no team bid on him. However, Padikkal has scored a lot of runs in domestic cricket and hence, he may eventually get bid for in the accelerated auction.
