Kalyan College team has reached the final for the 40th time in the Durg sector level inter-college cricket competition. The title match will be held against St. Thomas College on Saturday. Since the competition started, the Kalyan College team has played in the finals every time except 1998. In 1997, it was defeated by Bhilai-3 College and in 2017 by Swami Swaroopanand College in the finals.
This time Kalyan College has performed brilliantly in the competition. By scoring 304 runs in the first match of the competition, he created the record of scoring the highest number of runs in the competition so far. Won the first and second matches by a margin of more than 200 runs.
Playing first in the semi-final match with Swami Swaroopanand College on Friday, he scored 149 runs and won the match by 62 runs. In the second match of the semi-final played at Kalyan College ground, Kalyan College team, playing first, scored 149 runs after playing all 20 overs at the loss of 8 wickets.
