Meerut won the title of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay State Level T-20 Cricket Competition on behalf of Sports Directorate, Uttar Pradesh. The final match was played between Meerut and Saharanpur at Green Park on Friday.
Won the match by 8 wickets
In this, Meerut won the trophy by defeating Saharanpur by 8 wickets. In the final match played at Greenpark Stadium, Saharanpur scored 132 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. In this, Sarthak Singh scored 37 runs, Hrithik Sonkar scored 18 runs. Whereas, in bowling, Naman, Varnit and Shivam took 2 wickets each.
Target achieved in 14th over
In reply, Meerut won the match by scoring 134 runs losing 2 wickets in 13.5 overs. In this match, Satyam played an unbeaten half-century of 96 runs. Whereas, Ishu scored 27 runs, while Saurabh took two wickets in bowling.
Satyam was chosen player of the match for his excellent play. Whereas, the best batsman Satyam and the best bowler Naman were selected. At the same time, the chief guest for the winning team was Deputy Labor Commissioner UP Shaumya Pandey, UPCA Director Riyasat Ali, Green Park RSO Vijay Kumar, Deputy Sports Officer Amit Pal and other members were present.
