PCB appointed new batting coach: Pakistan cricket is currently going through a period of turmoil. There have been many changes in the Pakistani cricket team in recent times. In this change, Pakistan Cricket Board has now appointed a new batting coach for its national team for limited overs format. PCB has approved the name of Shahid Aslam as the new batting coach of Pakistan.
Shahid Aslam has tremendous experience in coaching. He has also worked for Pakistan cricket team before. Shahid was associated with the Pakistan team for many years. Apart from being an assistant coach, fielding coach, he has also held the post of assistant manager for this team. After which now Shahid Aslam has once again returned to the Pakistan cricket team. He will now work with Mohammad Rizwan's team.
Shahid Aslam becomes batting coach of Pakistan cricket team
Pakistan cricket team has recently appointed Mohammad Rizwan as the captain of ODI and T20 formats. Only after which Gary Kirsten, the head coach of the team, left the team. After this, Test coach Jason Gillespie went with the Pakistan team on the tour of Australia as head coach. Amidst many changes in this team, Shahid Aslam has now been appointed as the batting coach of the team.
Pakistan team will play the next series with its new batting coach.
For some time, Shahid Aslam was working as a coach at the High Performance Center located in Lahore. He was working on this post for the last 2 years. Former veteran batsman for Pakistan, Mohammad Yusuf had earlier been the batting coach of the team. But he was made the selector of the national cricket team. Then Mohammad Yusuf, apart from being a selector, also resigned from the post of batting coach. After which, on the recommendation of Pakistan's interim white ball coach Aaqib Javed, Shahid Asmal has been brought back into the Pakistan team and he has been given the responsibility of batting coach.
